Ija was born of a love of fashion and the modern woman.  With an emphasis on the quality and character of handcrafted jewelry, each Ija Designs piece is made with the utmost attention to detail by the designer herself in the shadows of the Cascades. Utilizing natural semiprecious stones and hand forged gold and silver; the line represents the many facets of a woman’s life.  From the fantastical Pixie collection, inspired by Erin’s four year old daughter’s love for Neverland and the faeries that call it home, to the edgier Flash collection born of hours spent scanning the walls of tattoo studios while being adorned, Erin’s pieces aim to highlight the individuality of the woman who wears them.  “I wanted to design a line that would make a woman feel at home within herself, no matter the circumstances”.

“A Woman’s Studies major with a stack of Vogues on the coffee table” is how Erin Hasler aptly describes herself.  Her work is reflective of her varied interests; from her tattoo inspired pieces to the clean, modern lines that are so prevalent in her designs.  She currently resides in Bend, Oregon with her husband Chris, daughter Dylan, and son Finley and Nico, the rescued Pit.

Philosophy
At Ija Designs green is more than our favorite color; it’s a way of life.  That’s why we’ve chosen to run our studio on 100% renewable energy, we recycle all our scrap metal and purchase recycled metals. Recognizing that the jewelry industry as a whole is damaging to our environment, we strive to create as little an impact as possible. We truly believe that beauty radiates from within, but a fabulous pair of earrings can’t hurt!
